# Move-Out Cleaning Needed **Preferred date:** August 20 (optional alternative: August 21) **Apartment:** 55 m², 2 rooms **Question for applicants:** Do you have your own ladder to reach the ceiling (e.g. for sauna ceiling/upper walls, and ceiling-mounted ventilation valves), or would one need to be provided? **Note:** All items are already cleared from the apartment except a disassembled kitchen cabinet, which sits in the space where a dishwasher used to be and stays with the apartment — do **not** reassemble it. ## 1. Overall apartment - Vacuum and clean all floor surfaces as required by the floor material. - Make sure floors are clean and there are no stains on doors or walls. - Wipe down skirting boards/baseboards throughout. - Clean door frames and thresholds. - Remove excessive stickers or other materials from doors, door frames, and walls. - Clean the cabinet shelves, drawers, and the cutting board. - Clean dust from the gaps of radiators. - Clean dirt off ventilation valves (kitchen, WC, bathroom, sauna) — do **not** change the valve adjustments while cleaning. - Clean household appliances of dust and dirt stains. ## 2. Windows - Wash windows, inside and outside (glass, frames, sills). - Clean the window ventilation ducts/vents. - Windows: one joint balcony door and window, one big window in the bedroom, a narrow tall window in the kitchen, a wide short window in the bathroom, and a wide short window in the sauna. ## 3. Closet - Clean shelves, floor, and hooks. - Clean dirt off the ventilation valve. ## 4. Balcony - Clean the balcony. ## 5. Kitchen - Clean the kitchen cabinets, inside and out, of dirt stains. - Clean the sink and the kitchen tiles. - Clean the kitchen hood and wash the hood's grease filter. - Clean the oven trays, the outer surfaces of the stove, and the area behind/background of the stove. - Clean the refrigerator and defrost the freezer. - Clean the refrigerator and freezer seals, their backgrounds, and the area behind them. - Clean underneath the refrigerator — likely accumulated debris over the years. - Turn the refrigerator and freezer switches to the zero (0) position and leave the doors open. ## 6. Bathroom and toilet - Wash the basins and toilet seats, including the areas behind them. - Clean the faucets, the bathtub, and/or shower walls. - Clean the tiles. - Clean floor drains of visible dirt, and clean the manhole/drain cover on both sides. - Clean the floor. ## 7. Sauna - Wash the benches with a cleaner suitable for saunas. - Wash the walls and ceiling with a sauna-appropriate cleaner. - Scrub the floor. - Wipe down the heater guard rail and surrounding surfaces (do not wet the sauna rocks themselves). ## 8. Storage unit - Vacuum/sweep the floor and wipe down shelving. ## 9. Photos to take - Overall apartment (floors, doors, walls) - Windows - Closet - Balcony - Kitchen (cabinets, sink, hood, stove, oven, fridge/freezer) - Bathroom and toilet - Sauna - Storage unit - Any other remarks or defects, if applicable
